Wearable Art Living Resistance
Indigenous Design Emporium is a wearable art studio rooted in Anishinaabe tradition, created by Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe artist Giizhiibaa Giizhigook. Every piece is activated art — handcrafted with intention, grounded in cultural continuance, and made to be worn as living expression. #indigenousdesignisalwaysresistance
About Indigenous Design Emporium
Founded in 2025 by Giizhibaa Giizhigook, Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe, Makwa Dodem. The studio is the culmination of a creative life always running parallel: painting, regalia-making, sewing, dreaming designs and sketching them on waking. Every piece is activated art-rooted in Anishinaabe cosmology and deep ancestral land knowledge. Cultural continuance, worn, carried and lived. Fruitland Park, FL
What Our Customers Say
Oh wow! It is beautiful! Your sewing skills put mine and most everyone else's to shame! So precise! Your top-stitching is perfect! The use of colors and textures is totally GREAT! I LOVE it!!
Dee Fairbanks
It's so beautiful.... They will wear with pride.
Judy Hanks
Her artistic choices seemingly gentle the rebellious symbolism, but subert expectation with a closer look. A joyful, centered thesis of women in leadership, Native voices in authority, and the power of returning to traditional arts
Erica Helander, Rebel Loon Archives, Minnesota
